Description:	We are looking to develop a 4 page website, which will incorporate our blog site. Our blog site, Smooth move gives free advice to homeowners and home movers. See link below, http://smoothmoveblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/07/a-bit-of-patriotism/ The project is called Smooth move legal, which will give free legal advice to consumers from our featured law firms. The website is to be basic and have options for consumers to post questions on or details for us to help them with their query. We will have basic information and advice on there and then our featured law firms will help them with their specific case. The website will have law firms located throughout the UK, so if a client wants to deal with a firm in locally they will have the option to search for them. The featured law firms will have their own profiles, which will mention a few details, in particular the areas of law which they focus on. The website will also need a function where they can register and sign up to our updates.

Weather conditions have made the fungus aflatoxin a threat to this year's corn crop, Illinois Risk Management Agency officials say. Outbreaks like the one shown here could spur some serious claims for quality losses which are harder to compensate than straight yield reductions. These particular 2012 aflatoxin-infected ears were found about 100 miles south of Kansas City.

The state RMA office has "heard of aflatoxin outbreaks, but has had no actual findings yet," Jodie Tate, deputy director for the Illinois RMA told DTN. "At this stage, we're warning people to be on alert for it."

Compensation is based on a sliding scale, depending on the level of infection. Corn that is contaminated at levels greater than 20 ppb may not be sold for interstate commerce, although most of it can find a safe use in local livestock feed following FDA guidelines. However at 300 ppb, it will need to be destroyed, Tate says.

If you think your corn has aflatoxin, notify your crop insurance agent before you harvest the grain or move it to commercial or on-farm storage. Your insurance provider will take samples for testing and submit them to an approved testing facility. Depending on the aflatoxin level present, the corn price may be discounted. Tests must be conducted by independent third parties, not by the grower.

If your crops test positive, just don't expect to receive dollar-for-dollar compensation for what your grain buyer discounts. In 1988, when aflatoxin infected much of the Illinois crop, some elevator chains docked identical grain $2.50 per bu. and others only 15 cents. RMA guidelines treat crop quality losses as an adjustment to yield, but "they don't always pay growers for what they get deducted for," RMA officials told DTN in 2009, after outbreaks of white mold affected crops and growers filed numerous crop insurance quality claims.

"The government tries to keep thing on balance of what the grain is really worth," the official added at the time.

What's a farmer to do? "My advice is to pretend it is a Chicago vote and if you suspect aflatoxin to report early and often," a crop insurance company rep tells me. "Claims require preharvest inspection and farmers pay for the test. But the grower risk is putting their grain in on-farm storage as that alflatoxin growth is their risk to wear."

Romney Campaign Allies with Ted Cruz on Welfare Reform, Small Business

Republican senate candidate Ted Cruz is coordinating with the Romney campaign with an assault on the Obama administration's removal of work requirements from the welfare reform law passed during the Clinton presidency.

Cruz: Bill Clinton 'too conservative' for Barack Obama

According to the Daily Caller, Cruz participated in a conference call on welfare reform with the media on behalf of the Romney campaign. In the call, Cruz suggested that President Bill Clinton, who signed a welfare reform measure into law in 1996 that required welfare recipients to either work or to seek work, was "too conservative" for President Obama. Cruz suggested that Obama, by using an executive order to remove the work requirement, was doing an end run around Congress. Obama did not try to make the case for his new policy. He just enacted it with a stroke of a pen. Cruz further stated that welfare to work was a fundamental strategy to help people on welfare find work and thus grant them independence, something he says that Obama has taken away. A Human Events account of the conference call also mentions that Cruz called the Obama policy fiscally irresponsible as it would add to the cost of the welfare system by fostering dependence.

The Romney campaign has also produced an ad which accuses President Obama of "gutting" welfare reform. The Washington Post notes that Romney has started to use Obama's removing the work requirement from welfare as a talking point in stump speeches on the campaign trail, starting with a swing through Illinois.

According to KFYO the Romney campaign quoted Cruz while releasing an ad that touted a Hispanic-owned business in Texas as part of an assault against Obama's "you didn't build that" gaffe against private enterprise. The quote from Cruz in the news release accompanying the ad suggests that Obama hurts small business, including Texas-owned businesses as featured in the ad, through excessive regulation and high taxes.

Romney alliance with Cruz good political strategy

Cruz, coming off of a smashing runoff victory for the Republican nomination for the Senate, is both a tea party favorite and a rising Hispanic star in the GOP. He is very likely to win the general election in the deep red state of Texas. Thus, in a prospective Romney presidency, Cruz will be part of a Senate that will be expected to pass Romney's agenda. Reaching out to Cruz, including him as a de facto partner in the Romney campaign, makes good political sense, not only because of Cruz's future status as a senator, but as a means to reach out to two important constituencies -- tea party activists and Hispanic voters.
